She never should have volunteered for this mission. Cleaning up traces of the T-Abyss virus had become a full time job for the fledgling BSAA after the Three Queens incident. Understaffed, and still trying to assimilate assets from the defunct FBC, the organization had found itself in a rather tough time. It was no surprise then that Jill was a first pick to deal with cleaning up what was left of the Queen Dido, and making sure that any traces of the virus were contained. It was proceeding well until she had been blindsided. The blow had knocked Jill unconscious, and when she had came to, there was no trace of the creature that had assaulted her. But whatever had happened after she'd been knocked out, she had noticed that her pistol had been removed from her holster. The same had held true for her Genesis scanner. And it became even more disturbing from there on. For upon her breast had been placed an odd jewel-like device. Jill had tried to remove it, but had soon learned the device, whatever it was, had actually been grafted attached to her skin. Some kind of tracking device? If it was, then escape would be near impossible. Even if removing it were to hurt tremendously, Jill had to be rid of it. A bead of sweat trickled down her brow as she pulled at the device in frustration. Her more aggressive attempt triggered the failsafe on the device, and caused it to release its payload of T-Abyss virus prematurely into her bloodstream. Something that even the T-Abyss vaccine could not inoculate against.
