What kind if gel pen do you use over top your markers? I got some kind of fancy-shmancy Japanese one at the art store, but I'm not thrilled with it :\

I use "Gelly Roll" primarily. My favorites are white and clear star.

They do take a bit to get going if they haven't been used in a while. The trick I do (is maybe yucky or silly to admit) if scribbling them on a scrap doesn't get them flowing, I take just the metal tip in my mouth and give some suction. Like gel pen CPR. Lol. Test on a scrap again to check.

I'm not a big of fan of the "souffle'" or "aqualip" kinds. Souffle' is too textured, and aqualip is too translucent that it doesn't show after lamination.
