This was one of the big important projects of my drawing class. We had to draw something with a figure in it, and it had to have a narrative. Though the teacher never said so, I told myself, "If I have to explain what's happening, I've done it wrong." Solid advice to go by, and I'm happy to say that when I showed my concepts to the teacher, he didn't ask me to explain what was going on. :)
This is all based on a nebulous story/world idea I have, the main story revolves around an elf girl named Sadryn and her flying-bug-critter companion, Kogura. They act as messengers because flight is the only way to travel and communicate in their world.
I wish we could have worked in colour, this would have been just gorgeous in sunset lighting!
