Loved SoC, could not get into CoP at all. Thinking of trying it again with Misery but I have a feeling that it might be a little too hardcore for me :/

I feel like a bad fan for never playing SoC - I only jumped into CoP because I heard it was the least buggy of all them. Only later did I learn CoP is the best one.

Misery makes it pretty awful in the best of ways, but steer clear if you're not a fan of Dark Souls sort of games. Abusing the save buttons only work so much when random chimera death could come at any time. The best is when it happens in the middle of a scripted mission and screws everything up, haha.

Yeah SoC is a nightmare to lay vanilla, at least I thought so. I couldn't handle the guns being as inaccurate as they were so I nodded th game quite a bit. Its a little slow at the beginning but its worth playing just to experience X-18 and the Brain Scorcher.

awesome, i've never plated STALKER, but i equate it to a grittier version of Fallout, my favorite games of all time

I played a full modded game of SoC but never got around to CoP before my room-mates computer went FUBAR (keynote: he is using mine now D:)... Used to listen to that firelake song when I was playing SoC. Glorious stuff.

In Misery, this plays on the radio in the bases sometimes!

They certainly knew how to nail the desolate, lonely wasteland look. Hell, even when I had good armor and a good gun I was still nervous as hell.

Those creepy ambient noises at night get me, haha
