what i dont understand is how an accent happens in the first place i always figured if i can fake an accent they could most certainly fake it too ya know? like how do Asians mix up R and L? i know its a stereo type but stereo types are based on some truth and it just drives me crazy . i always figured if ur gonna learn another language why not go the whole mine instead of just doing the minimum
In some (I don't think all, however), there is no such thing a the "luh" sound that the L makes, as it simply is not a part of the language. In Japanese, for example, you'll notice that Ls more closely resemble the Rs of the English language (it's a much softer sound). It's the same thing with "thank you" and "sankyu". The "th" sound just doesn't exist in Japanese the same way it does in English. It's like try to tell someone who has never rolled the Rs in the Spanish they're learning that they should know how to do it. If you've never done it, you may never learn. However, this difference in language is not an "accent" at all.
Also, while you may be able to "fake" an accent, most people that actually speak that language or have the dialect (except the generic American Mid-west accent that many Australian and British actors learn... because that's almost a non-existent accent), can generally tell that you're faking it. In reality, a fairly low amount of people can fake an accent and do it well.

Bisexual in a gay comic? I didn't think those existed =P (JK) Most of the time I see sexuality im comics, it's either you're straight or you're gay and if you're "bi" then you're just being set up to be full gay =P. (only half jk XD)
I say this in a slightly sarcastic tone since I know there's a lot of bi comics out there.
But I would defiantly have been surprised if the eagle happened to be a closet bi =3.
Then it would be fun for EVERYONE =D

I really like the new way of shading in the comic. Your style of drawing always interested me from the beginning but the shading really adds a secondary beauty to this. Also I love the story of this comic, the pace is just right and we are getting to see the characters more and more at a good pace. I really like the Russian dog even if he seems somewhat "abrasive" if I am using that term correctly.
I can't wait to see how this comic unfolds.
Also I know that I might get torn apart for this, but I love how this comic focuses on the character relationships changing in the existing friendships and beginning in the new ones. I wouldn't mind a bit of naughtiness, but I really love the way you have the characters interacting with each other.

Ha, that kinda explains what happens to guys who emigrate to US. First they overwork themselves, thinking their work is more valued than in their originating countries. But in reality, engineers are slave labor of the 21st century, and they rarely get rich by doing hard work... Do I sound too Marxist? :3
