By far, and still is, the best furry avatar I've ever seen on SecondLife. The pic just doesn't do it justice. Seeing it in SL boggled my mind.

My appearance is not too harsh on the framerate, although I didn't optimize yet. I seem to be in the upper middle field for furry avatars with it. (Avatar Rendering Cost score of around 2600. I've seen furry avatars between low hundreds and up to 7000 - 8000)

I have to agree. Probably the best homebrew model for SL I've seen so far as far as furry goes. :D I really like how you went the extra mile on the feet and didn't just make them bubbles with circle claws. What was the hardest part, you think? :3

The hardest part was the body texture. I had to learn how to import the SL avatar model into Maya to make it seamless and to give it light, shadow, and a bit of bump mapping. And I've actually worn out my graphics tablet on the texture. I didn't even know that they _can_ wear out

As for the feet - I was inspired by the wonderful hind paws of :orange04: I probably wouldn't have put so much work into them if not for her raising the bar so high. They consist out of sculpties, a relatively new SL object type which can be given arbitrary form.

Aus wievielen Prims besteht denn eigentlich der Avatar? Sind sicher so einige hundert.

Sind schon ziemlich viele - ich glaube, so an die 140. Aber: Allein die Mähne hat ca. 100. Wenn ich die endlich mal optimiere, siehts gleich besser aus. Übrigens scheine ich selbst so nur im oberen Mittelfeld der Graphiklast für Furry-Avatare zu sein. Wenn ich den ARC - Zähler einschalte, sind in einem Club immer eine ganze Menge mit wesentlich höherem Count.
