COST OF DOLL $66
WHEN WAS THIS DOLL MADE? April 2012 (ordered April 9th)
WAS THIS DOLL A PROTOTYPE? No
COMMUNICATION
Yes, although no tracking or shipping notification was given.
DID THEY MEET YOUR DEADLINE?
No deadline given
HOW WAS THE ART DOLL PACKAGED?
Wrapped in kraft paper and packaged in a small box. Arrived safely, although the mailman threw the box on the ground and so one eye came loose.
DID YOUR DOLL ARRIVE IN ONE PIECE?
I had to re-glue one eye since the mailman threw the box on the ground when he delivered it.
WAS YOUR DOLL SEWN?
Yes, with the fur glued onto the head which I believe is normal for art dolls.
IS YOUR DOLL FLOPPY STYLE OR ARTICULATED?
Articulated with a plastic ball joint. It had popped out of place after a family member was careless, but I was able to pop it back into place with no damage.
STABILITY, IS YOUR DOLL STABLE?
Very stable, can be coiled in a cobra pose and will hold that pose.
DOLL DETAIL
Very well done. Metallic paint is well sealed, even after a family member was rough with the doll (pulling some of the fabric from the resin, popping out the ball joint) the paint remained undamaged.
FABRIC DETAILING
Completely sewn in markings, chin fur was sewn in backwards to stand out like a little goatee. It was a cute little detail.
MATERIALS
Fabrics are all very nice looking still. Soft furs that have held up well to handling and posing the doll. Felt wings are not fraying, that was a fear of mine.
WOULD YOU BUY FROM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND?
Oh yes! The dolls are lovely and VERY sturdy. They have a lot of personality in their little faces and details too.
FINAL SCORE: 4.5/5
