xD It would be!
But with all the cuddling and petting and loving I do with these rodents, if they have anything I can catch from them, I'd be dead from it by now. x3
(I do wish Sammy here would clean her tail more, though! It's bad. Bailey's (my other rat) on the other hand, is spotless). xD

Allow me to clear up some obvious confusion.
"However clean and fastidious a rat might be, I wouldn't want to use tissues that any animal may well have used as a toilet. "
I don't actually think of rats as being as dirty as you clearly think that I think they are. However, animals are still animals, and thus is is usually safe to assume that, since there are no toilets in Animal-land, just any old dumping ground will do unless the animal is specifically trained to have a specific place for such purposes. Even cats have to be litter-trained.
"I hope you don't get sick as a result. The irony would be too terrible."
That's got less to do with rats and more to do with tissues that another critter, of any kind, has been in contact with. Getting sick from using a tissue would be ironic anyways, but still possible. The only way to make certain something, even a clean and fastidious animal such as a rat, completely germ free would be to use radiation doses specifically fatal to the bacteria that, frankly, crawl around on all surfaces, living and otherwise (which would be overkill for the poor animal). So again, this was not rat-bashing.
"Sounds like a rat bath might be the solution."
This is where you have to pay attention to context. I was answering specifically to the artist's mention of this rat lacking hygiene in one particular area. One rat with a Personal hygienic shortcoming. To assume that this would be a statement on all rats would be just as absurd as claiming that someone is bashing all of humanity as filthy because they mention a bath would be useful for One guy who doesn't change his underwear as often as is expected.
TL;DR version: I simply do not think of rats as dirty as you clearly think I do. That's really just a knee-jerk assumption. However, I do think that any animal has the potential to be a vector of disease if not properly cleaned up or trained to clean up properly. Ergo, this isn't rat-bashing.
