I made this char based on my RL pet crested gecko. Alyssa is an orange bi color harley and comes from Pandora reptiles via Troy, NY reptile show.
I was drawing her to be sitting down on something and then wasn't sure what she should sit on,so now she's kinda sitting on air.
She lives in a 30 gal. by herself because her adoptive sister is too large, she eats Repashy prepared gecko food and is trying to keep her tail.
When she was younger, she was more scared, didn't eat insects so her step sister grew faster being the bolder one, I don't know when I can try to house them together due to their size differences.
At this point, I don't even know Alyssa's sex yet and "she" may yet turn into a "he". Despite having two unsexed small geckos, I have simply called them both "she".
Crested geckos are such awesome little lizards, great for the beginner reptile keeper.
They thrive at average room temps, don't need special lighting and they like to eat mostly fruit( this means they tend to be fed a formulated fruit mixture).
One negative is if they ever lose their tails, the tail never grows back and they become what has been dubbed "frogbutt". They end up with a pointed nub. Most cresties in the wild have lost their tails so they can survive just fine with no tails. But I and many others consider them better looking with tails.
