Thanks, I like how Chucky's parents came out. Merry makes herself comfy pretty easily. Even back when I first introduced her, you can tell she doesn't have many inhibitions.

It's fun watching Chucky trying to be responsible about the studying. I was at a university where the "basic pre-requisite" Physics classes were used to cull out those first-year Engineering students who weren't prepared to work for their major.

Merry seems to be saying (between the lines) that she's checked out Chucky and his living-space for two hours, and continues to get positive vibes. (Including for his continuing to keep focused on helping her study.} The schoolwork must be intense enough that she doesn't have the time to socialize and date outside the school community. (With people closer to her age.) She must consider faculty off-bounds, so....

It is very college isn't it? I'm glad I'm able to capture that vibe. Yeah, I did engineering and those general physics classes did exactly what you said, then by third year we all hit our major classes and the weeding out started all over again.

I don't want it to sound like Merry doesn't have other friends, but like Chucky and everyone, she is from out of town. Since she lives off campus by herself, her only regular interaction with others is during school, and those others are all teenagers with teenage personalities and teenage concerns. All of Merry's friends that are her age are back in her home town and have lives of their own. She's loosely based off someone I knew in college who was sort of in that situation.

Am I the only one who noticed that Chucky has a picture of bare-breasted Terry openly displayed in his room? I do believe I see little bits of nipples peeking out from under the speech bubble. Is that acceptable in his world?

That was my mistake in drawing actually. The actual photo on his wall should show no more than what you can see here, just a hint of areola. He lives in a private dorm room, he can display whatever he wants.
