Hey, I did somethin' like that back in high school: just let my nails grow really long, them I filed the edges off and made the tips pointed.
It got me... some attention for a good while before I needed to blunt 'em.

Wow, glad to see I'm not the only one that does that. Started doing it for a job working with velcro, then kept doing it because they were far more useful. Even at the new job, my coworkers find it strangely fascinating.
