A wip of a character I though about last night; a Checkered Whiptail.
Just throwing this up here for some comments on design if anyone has anything to comment about.
Some info;
She has 5 black stripes runing down her body as per her species, but using a bit of artistic licence, her outmost stripe follow the contours of her under belly, marking it's edges.
She has various square-ish spots all over the outside of her limbs and her forehead is devoid of spots. The underside of her limbs are not the same as her underbelly, which goes from her lower jaw to her tail.
Her dorsal and outmost stripes are fused into one, rather then checkered like her other two stripes.
Her stripes are merged at the back of the forehead to the back of her neck. The outermost stripes merge under her tail and the three remaining stripes merges at the tip.
Her last toe is elongated, and her tail is actually the length of her body, but I didn't want to draw it that long for now.
Her colours are still in thought, but a brownish grey might be her base colour with her black stripes.
She's a performance magican, and she usually wears a tophat as a cliche.

ps. I know her legs are crap, I have trouble drawing hips and limbs.
