Ahhh... I am so happy with this! This is the first page of transformation comic I'm doing as commission for Mozdoc. For this I used almost exclusively quill nib pens and brush with ink. This is a new thing for me, but I like the effect and the ease of use. I used my usual Staedtler ink pens on some of the more delicate hatching, but otherwise, quill and ink.
As part of the commission, I will be digitally coloring it as well, and I look forward to the challenge. Mozdoc was very pleased with it! Yay! On a side note, Mozdoc is an excellent commissioner and I have enjoyed working with him on this character.
I have the raw inked version in my scraps and, for anyone wondering the difference, this one has been cleaned up considerably, tonal quality of the black has been fixed, and gutters have been added a bit. I might make the gutters a bit bigger for the finished piece, but I dunno... we'll have to see.
