Full Color commission for Justin of himself and his Kalos Pokemon team comprised of Mega Charizard, Mega Lucario, Noivern, Luxray, Pyroar and Greninja. He also has Mew as a companion Pokemon which has finally come to trust him. This is part 6 of 6 regional Pokemon team images, along with a compilation of all 6 teams in one image.
I have done one commission for Justin before regarding a Pokemon team, but this time around it is an absolutely huge amount of Pokemon, something like 25 individual species represented in the final compilation, many of which I have never drawn. Lot of referencing required, and a lot of time. All the images are basic foreground bg, with a gradient representing the game colors (like Red and Blue, Black and White, etc) along with the region maps in the background. Shading was more simple than usual, mostly since the final compilation needed it. By the time I was done this, I was kind of sick of seeing Charizard and Mew, the only two Pokemon that are present in all the individual regional images. The only other consistent bane was the height charts. All of these Pokemon are basically to scale, minus or add something like 3" for any of them. Perfectionism at its best.
In Kalos, ZLuxray and Mew were ironically the only Pokemon I have drawn. Everything else was a new horror show, since o' good grief when Gamefreaks realized they could use 3D models then go completely nuts with the Pokemon. Mega Lucario and Mega Charizard (yes, I know you can't technically have two Megas out at once) are basically the equivalent of how Mewthrees are to me in relation to Mewtwo, they're basically wish fulfillment Fakemon, but real. Nope, still hate Mega Mewtwo X and Y. The brick and the walking spoiler alert. Pyroar was the easiest Pokemon to draw here (and Mew, obviously), and well, everything else just wasn't.
(By the way, for any of the so called 'geniuses' who point out he has '7 Pokemon' I am licensed to slap you, along with remarks about not being able to get X Pokemon in whatever game. Don't read the description, not my fault if I get to call you a moronic, illiterate tool.)
