I tried a -lot- of new things for this, then got lazy for the hair because I couldn't find any way to do it that I remotely liked. I also now dislike what I tried with the tail, but have no way to undo it. Oh well.

Also - this was done ENTIRELY in the GIMP. Meaning, unlike every single other thing I've ever submitted, this had no hand-drawn base for me to trace digitally.
