The situation has been resolved and I have a new charger. ^^ Thank you very much for caring/reading.
In the last 90+ minutes, I have connected and reconnected the physical cables and even changed the outlet and all along battery power has been constantly draining. This is really bad timing since final exams are next week. X-x
