Hey! I made my first cosplay from scratch for this year's C2E2! The helmet was the most intimidating thing to fabricate, but turned out to be the most straightforward, whereas the shirt I expected to be easy but turned out to be a massive pain in the ass. Same with the leg coverings, which I fitted so well that once I pulled them on, I couldn't get them off without splitting the seams! :C LOL!

Paper mache base, then DAS paperclay on top. I was surprised at how well the DAS smoothed and sanded. Shellacked and primed the crap out of it. No issues with cracking (I heard a lot of complaints about paperclay cracking), but I did have a problem with it shrinking a bit and had to cut out some of the paper mache lining.
