As the lucario grew, Huo decided that now was the time to resume his own growth, sticking both of his thumbs into his mouth and blew, doubling his normal growth rate as well. Even as the lucario surged larger, Huo surged equally larger, the lucario having to put more air into his lungs then out. It wasn't long until his right foot-paw started to catch air itself, having slid off the ground he stood on. Had he not been paying attention, he would have toppled into the water and cost himself significant distance between his and Huo's sizes.
He was able to land in the water after a small jump, the lower legs each splashing down into the water as Luca was starting to catch up with the blaziken. His expression turned into that of determination, wanting to catch up and outgrow Huo, who was trying to keep his lead so far. The residents on the island have taken notice to the growing duo, deciding to stay indoors for the duration of their 'little' contest.
