Nerdy people will get this. It fact, this is so obscure, I doubt anyone on Fa knows what i'm talking about.
For those that do know, I recently found out that Delia Derbyshire had some old project tapes in her house and were left there after she had died.
It's techno music that only used tape manipulation and no synths. Oh yes, and they are from 1971 (however she was known for making the original Dr. Who theme in 1963, again, with no synthesizers, just splicing up samples on 1 track mono tape)

ahh, I assumed they got found more recently
While I think of it watch this old series, quite intresting and I think contains a rendition of a tune called "greenwhich chorus" as well to boot!
*thinks....I must one day get my open spool machine fixed up, right now it needs a lot of work, replacing bad components, decayed rubber parts etc....
