Amazing how they do that, though, take off from the water. Even seeing prey underwater must be a trick because of diffraction. What marvelous creatures are birds!

Nice work photographing it! You even managed to get it to stand out against the water.

I think that hunting in dawn or dusk light must help with the refraction. As for the pic, everything is looking way better now that I can fine-tune with Adobe Lightroom. It's truly a magnificent piece of software.
