That's the last time I underestimate how hard it is to make a sprite... seesh.
Right- on with the story.
As you probably know, this Pixel ID thing's been around for about as long as Street Fighter's had the suffix "2", and I've always had 2D-fighter ideas for Gami, but seeing as how learning MUGEN is as safe as learning autoerotic asphyxiation, I settled on just making this...
If I ever did make him into a working fighting game sprite, he's probably fight like Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear
BOSS CHARACTER: Gami Cross
Strong Attack: TitanBlade (seen in the Gami of the Dead image)
Weak Attack: Varies between using the pen and kicks
-(Sol Move name) - Description of changed move
-(Volcanic / Grand)Viper: Gami dashes across the room, Aphrodite's arm mirroring his own, which is thrown back in an exaggerated throw. The impact and rising follows like a dragonpunch with Aphrodite's arm leading. The ending has Gami flipping and hitting the opponent with his tail (rather than a heelkick like Sol uses)
-RiotStomp: (Gami does a backflip to the edge of the screen, then launches forward, connecting with a vicious mid-air roundhouse kick)
-GunFlame: Pen forms into Samus' Arm cannon for a short range shot
-GunFake: Long range, but weaker version- Sol's fake was pointless.
-BanditRevolver: Same, but with his tail instead of heel
-WildThrow: Aphrodite slings em like a ragdoll
Special:
-FlameSeal: (the pen opens into the Vector Cannon from Zone of the Enders 2. Bigbadda-boom.)
Finishing Move:
-Control-X (Gami shoots out a mouse pointer- if it connects, the opponent is dragged to the middle of the screen onto a Photoshop checkered space, Gami pulls down a menu... Edit > Cut. "DE-STROYED!"

wow, that's a pretty well thought out explanation, then again, stating you always had 2-D fighting ideas, it seems fitting.
I could never make one of these, too much time spent.
I love your attack ideas, but something feels oddly similar to someone else's, not sure who.
Anyways, nice job on the pixel you.

Didn't say it was hard, I just saying that I fear getting so engrossed in making stuff for the game
... it'd...
Look, at one point in my life I found a sprite RPG maker... It was like joining the medieval Inquisition: life-threatening devotion, with zero positive result...

The problem with MUGEN is that it's really just an out-of-date alternative to making a fighting game. With games like BlazBlue coming out the public really needs a better engine / tool to develop and release their independent fighters. 2D fighters seem simplistic enough, but the reality of their actual complexity couldn't be any more misleading to the public.
Fairly good, Definatelly beliviable it could be for any number of old school and some newer beat 'em up's I've indulged, but it feels, incomplete in the picture, the stats part I mean, but desc and overall presentation are superb! I wonder if you will ever do any 'epic' match-up's I've seen some people do, or, other desc's of your char's and such, that'd be really interesting ^_^
Oh, darn. >_< That's what I get. :D Either way, nicely done. Don't let pixel art discourage ya. Sometimes you can get away with a really groovy style doing nothing but that. Makes it edgier and funner to work with. And it's a challenge to boot. :) Here's hoping you maybe get spotted by some game maker ;)

If I got a TON of extra time and I'm financially sound, I might do something like a still-frame that'll look like it's from a game, and then it'll be released online, and everyone will be "oh is that real?" and everyone will be "where can i git et/!" and then others will "nuhuh it's fake" people will start doing memes of it and someone will throw the single frame'd sprites into mugen and and and...
wait, what were we talking about again?

Yeah, I've always wanted to make one of these X3 I probably will, at some point.
Unfortunately, while I've always wanted to have a fighting style like Rock (Capcom vs. SNK, baby) Vahn's too much of a girly girl... he'd probably just use a katana and I'd have to do more reasearch to figure out what he'd most fight like.
Yes, MUGEN is pain. I have up on it. I just don't have the patience to draw two thousand frames.

Dude... call me crazy... but for some odd reason, you look even hotter wearing those freakin monk warrior clothes than when you're sporting a stiff one and plowing Orange and/or Holly! Are those threads your own design or am I so in the dark in fashion that I've never seen them in real life before?
I'm serious man, find someone who'd be able to make that outfit. I'd buy it. Unless it was made of unicorn hide or Emperor of China silk... and cost me my firstborn and several wives and my right testicle. Then it might sit on lay-a-way for a while. >.>
But if it's your own design, kudos and well done! I approve the modern, yet appealing and sexy designer Gami clothes! Next up... his underwear! Muahahahaa!

Well, the picture certainly isn't your best, but points to you for trying something new.
Once again, the balance is all screwy, and the sprite doesn't match the picture you drew to go with it. In the picture, the jacket is zipped up, but on the sprite the jacket is unzipped. There's also a huge, ungainly gap between the name the ant sprite.
Also, as James Corck already pointed out, the character isn't consistent, so it detracts from the quality. Also, the toenails look awful, and like you said, it's fairly apparent you didn't spend very much time on those parts. The footpaw is altogether much too thin.
Next, why is the forehead shaded? The light should be shining directly on it.
Finally, what's up with that tail?! It's huge? And a neck? Does your character have a neck? It looks like it got sucked into that ugly black shirt.
The part you drew, though, looks awesome. The fuzziness makes it look even more retro, and good job on trying something new. 3/5.

*backhands with a trout* GREAT YOD, pray you never look at the ones done on DeviantArt lest you have an aenurism at the faults on those!
The jacket doesn't zip up, he's wearing a zip-up turtleneck with a white coat (gray sleeves / hoodie)
Huge space between the name and the sprite? um yeah there is. There's also alot of space between the FurAffinity logo and the banner ad at the bottom.
It's apparent you didn't spend much time on those parts- No-fucking-duh, As James Corck (fuck man you're quoting yourself) said, and I SAID, I forgot to go back and change it.
Why's it shaded? looked better that way. Myah~! artistic license bish!
Tail's always been huge. Turtlenecks usually hide necks.
Now bout your namesake, lets work on that.

Oh come on, you don't berate people who come looking for the Tome of Eternal Darkness, do you? I'm the same way-- minus the insanity effects and obligatory killing of a fat guy at the end of each chapter. Idea still works no matter how many centuries pass! ^_^
Or... "Don't think of it as late, think of it as an EU release street date

There is no such organization as the Internet Police. For one thing, they'd have to agree on whether Naruto or Sasuke is on top, and that's just not gonna happen.
Also, you should've known I wasn't being serious when I signed my post "the Internet Police" and deducted him "internets".

And now Olimar! What the HELL, people.
MUGEN is an interesting beast. It's straddling some magic line where it's complicated enough to be intimidating just to install, but useful and powerful enough that nobody's bothered to replace it.
I could see Gami as a gear. Justice was just an LGD proto that got way out of hand, right?

Gami looking like Justice-

Waaay ahead of ya, kiddo XD
That's my general idea of it- it's a box with a MUGEN logo taped over the word Pandora.

I think the sprite looks pretty damn cool if you try to picture in motion in a game/mugen, personally I like the character portrait better, even the tribal design looks pretty cool. Your drawing style would fit well in a sprite based game. I recall Ebony Leopard had done a mugen animation of his Xenif character, I think it would be sweet to see a furry fighting game with everyone contributing characters and such.
Its probubly a good thing you made one so late. i made mine when it was 1st going around and ive gotten way better since then so i look back at the picture i did for mine with the distasteful expression of un-satisfaction with old work, im sure you can relate when you look at old pictures to. Nifty attacks btw, your viper attack reminds me alot of Gins giant punch special.
because at first you're like "oh this is a neat program...
then you're trying to find mods and other characters
and packs
and more characters
then trying to make your own characters...
Gami gonna do any more artwork so you can make money and stay alive? FUCKYOU! I'M MAKING MUGEN STUFF!!!
then 2 months later you realize that all the effort you put into it did nothing productive except kill you a little inside. ;~;

Sure, It sounds cool, the only thing is, how do you represent the transformation. Beat-em-ups like M, are usually fast-paced, and the action doesnt often stop when you use a special, so the time it takes to animate such a transformation would offer up quite a weakness, and go against your 'High Speed Rating' as illustrated above.
It might work better if the pen 'reconfigured itself' as opposed to becoming something utterly different? or perhaps you could bypass the transformation with some stylish white flashes..
Either way, I need to design one now xD

No need to represent-- I swing the pen and by the time it passes me, it's projecting the weapon.
Think of a lightsaber that ignites once you swing it then deactivates after you're done swinging it. That's the idea- except instead of a boring straight beam of energy- it's different shapes depending on the circumstances

Hm, That I understand, I see what you mean now. The Pen's -Effect- changes rather than it's shape and appearance?
(If I'm wrong again, I should probably slap myself about a bit to wake up)
Either way, I have a question: What's powering the pen?
(Awaits juicy tech info like a good little geek...)

Nek0gami, why did you ever underestimate how hard it is to do so? x.x
Anyways, nice image. Very nice. Beats what I can do with pixels, hands down -- and I've been doing PixelArt since 2004. Late 2004, actually.
It'd help if you kept practicing at pixels. Might be hard, but in the long run, it may prove useful someday. :)
Keep drawing, Nek.
