wow, too bad you had to stop working on it... it's already superb, playful and funny, and very well worthy of illustrating a lighthearted children's story!
hm, the boy is in pajamas, but his mom already wears genuine pirate queen garb? or is her outfit part of the back story? either way, looks great, contrasts and all. I also love the expressions, and the mad scramble away from the lil' crocs those three gnarled pirates perform is hilarious. ^^
