[[OLD REF HERE]]
I've been thinking long and hard about my current fursona, Raowen, for a long time now. Contrary to popular belief, Colette is NOT my fursona, she is what I would consider a subsona (sub-fursona). She is still a big part of me, but does not completely and accurately depict me. Neither does Raowen anymore, as I was MUCH different when I made her than I am now. So last night I decided to do some big changes (which was REALLY hard for me) and completely redesign Raowen to suit me better.
Her previous design was just far too complicated and complex, and I often had trouble getting all of her markings correct. I did however keep some of her old traits, such as the black forearm and calf tattoos, and the black circle tattoos on her shoulders. I guess Colette and Raowen have kind of become my co-fursonas. They both represent different parts of me, so I can't really just pick one to keep.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
* Raowen is still a wolf. She is no longer an arctic/gray mix, she is what I consider a golden wolf, an arctic mutation that gives her a deep golden fur color.
* The black on her calves and forearms are tattoos that are reminiscent of shackles. She wears these to remind her of her time being caged and chained as a child.
* She is only 5'5", and has a very stocky and muscular body. Don't call her short! She's very touchy about that fact.
* The leather collar with the solid ring is always optional, but means a great deal to her.
* Her hair is curly and red, and can be worn in a variety of different ways (pigtails, ponytail, bun, down, braid, etc.)
* Her legs can be either plantigrade OR digitigrade, but her feet are always wolfish with canine claws always exposed.
* She is very crude and often makes very vile and gross jokes. Her temper is not to contend with and she often has problems controlling it.
* In the winter, her fur pales and fades to allow her to accommodate to the winter weather. With her fur fading, so does her temper. She is often more subdued and lethargic in the winter months because of the instinctive want to conserve energy.
