Made these the other day. Yes, that is a standard sized push-pin.
They are around 3cm wide by just over 4cm tall.
Hand tooled/dyed/sealed, leather bound books with tea dyed {aged} paper that has been burned around the edges for further aged appearance. Each book has around 30 fully usable pages.
They could easily be worn on a necklace around one's neck.
I might have a few of these for sale come furlaxation, as I really enjoy making them. I find it very relaxing.

You could go the route of making sleeves for standard Moleskine sketchbooks/notebooks. Theyre pretty widely used, not too expensive and easy to find. It would be a drawback to not be able to include the cool paper, but the customer would have a sleeve they could use again and again! Of course you could always go the bookbinding direction too and sell both handbound books and the handmade sleeves for them, that would be a big undertaking though haha.
