Tiny Clasped Sketchbooks

Made these the other day. Yes, that is a standard sized push-pin.
They are around 3cm wide by just over 4cm tall.

Hand tooled/dyed/sealed, leather bound books with tea dyed {aged} paper that has been burned around the edges for further aged appearance. Each book has around 30 fully usable pages.

They could easily be worn on a necklace around one's neck.

I might have a few of these for sale come furlaxation, as I really enjoy making them. I find it very relaxing.

:o you can actually sketch in these!
But I know what you mean. I could indeed make larger ones, but, I'd have to come up with a way to be able to switch out internal paper so that the owner could get plenty of use out of the cover.

Having a way to switch out the pages would indeed be neat! But I wouldn't mind one that didn't have that ability. It would prolly just make me buy more :'D

You could go the route of making sleeves for standard Moleskine sketchbooks/notebooks. Theyre pretty widely used, not too expensive and easy to find. It would be a drawback to not be able to include the cool paper, but the customer would have a sleeve they could use again and again! Of course you could always go the bookbinding direction too and sell both handbound books and the handmade sleeves for them, that would be a big undertaking though haha.
These little things are super adorable though:)

Unfortunately I cannot get a good picture of the spine of that dragon book, it is crosshatched in such a way that it looks like it's made out of scales. XD

I collect tiny books and try to use them as well. If you really want, I think Dark will be selling them at Furlaxation.

Youll have to fill me in I love drawing itty bitty things x3
I also write microscopic letter in my sketch books for notes xD
no one but me can read it. unless they hold my glasses up to it x3
I would love for you to fill me in<3 I have no idea the costs but im sure i can deal with it for such a masterpiece of craftsmenship

On his other submission, he said 20-40 for a custom, I believe. Also, yeah drawing and writing tiny is fucking addictive and I love it. I actually have one hes done for me around here somewhere. Its awesome and he even draw a tiny cheetah and wolf in it.
