If you're noticing a slight difference in quality/style between this page and the last few, it's because this page was drawn up first. This was originally page 3 of this chapter - I fleshed out the start to make it both more impressive and to fit in some extra detail on the Communion and spiritual bonding process.

And yes panel 3 is supposed to be metaphorical, there isn't actually an evil snarly fire next to him. :P

I'm trying some more outlandish expressions, a la One Piece, to help exaggerate emotion a little. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work, and I'll know for next time XD
