This is based off of a pact that I heard and my translation of what the other person will do about it with the other. Not much more I can say except that.

Here is the poem itself:

A pact of two


Two friends promised each other
To live as old men
Yet one of them knew
Down in his heart
That he would not
The friends grew apart
Then found each other again
One lived in seclusion
The other surrounded by others
They still stayed in contact
No matter the distance
Until one day there was
Silence.
The secluded friend ceased
But keeping to their promise
the friend came by
each year to remember
until they both just ceased.
