So long story short, a friend of mine who shall go unnamed decided they -really- wanted to run a game of the Black Crusade pen-and-paper. Of course, they're too lazy to run it themselves, so, they pretty much made me organize it instead.
No matter though, because I've had fun so far. One of the many supporting characters I put in, who became popular with the party, is the Warhammer 40K version of Shaska. Now, I'm not going to go into great detail about the setting and details like that, but you hardly have to be a veteran of the setting to know just who she's working for.
This image evokes a certain sense of guilt in me, though... is it bad that I find something that embodies disease slightly attractive?
Shaska belongs to Me.
Pretty much everything else belongs to Games Workshop.

Funny you say that, Female Space Marines don't exist... although there is a serious argument about that, the average Neckbeard will tell you just what I did.
But no, that is a -Normal- Bolter my friend. She isn't exactly the tallest person in the galaxy, but it just goes to show how ludicrously big those things are.
But yeah, she's with Nurgle, who she affectionately refers to as 'Grandpappy'. She wasn't in an actual military, but joined a rebel movement that opposed the Imperial Regime, originally for Noble reasons, but they soon fell to dark temptations once they had escaped the iron grip of the Imperium.

Yeah good point though I still think that is impractical. *Shrugs.* Ah well, half the imperial army hasn't even seen a space marine and thinks they're a myth.
Ah right, just generally don't see them outside the Marines, most troopers use lase-rifles.
*Chuckles.* Ahhhh right...yeah they usually do tend to fall to one of them. Funny enough if the Emperor were to 'recover' he would probably be spitting about how things turned out.

'Fan' maybe isn't the right word to use. I was into it for a long time, but the combination of Militant Fanboys and the way the game has changed recently put me off the game itself. The Roleplaying game is still okay, as long as you disregard some of the newer lore and make damn certain you don't have any militant fanboys in your group...
Well, I didn't know, so. And trust me, as a newbie to 40k (only a year and I'm already head-and-shoulders-deep into the lore), I know how you feel about the fanatical fanboys. Some of the newer lore's pretty dodgy, yeah, and all the RPGs are still fine. Deathwatch, though...Deathwatch can get silly.
