Interior of old 1999 Future Power PC
Ok, I found this computer next to the dumpster while at work, took it home. Found it works perfectly. Original owner didn't clear personal stuff off it (just family pictures), so I formatted the drive and installed Windows 98SE (was running 98).
This is the inside of the computer. Note that I did vacuum the dust up after I found the computer back in March 2013
It has a SiS620 chipset (with integrated video - 4MB vram)
Intel Celeron 366MHz CPU
64MB of PC100 SDRAM
4GB Maxtor hard drive.
120W power supply

Checking Google, the last motherboard I ever had with a EISA slot was the Abit KT7A-RAID motherboard (that and the Soyo 5EMA+ motherboard). ABIT was a good company, until it got hit by the bad caps lawsuit (even though it had nothing to do with the industrial espionage that created it)
Heh, later half of '99 Fry's opened a store in Austin TX. My next CC bill was over 3 grand ...
I was sitting there wondering how the hell they'd screwed up my bill, so I started going down the list of dates/places. Yes, I did that one, and the next, yeah, ok, yup, wellll shit ...
On the flip side, that represented 4 medium and 1 high end systems and a new monitor. (3 were gifts for family.) As they have 'upgraded' from W2K, I've gotten 2 of them back, silly things still work. still have a box somewhere full of old ISA/EISA cards - including 10meg BNC networking boards!
