"Huh....? What about... some coffee first?"

Candle light with traditional media sucks. XD Well, I tried (please no comments that the candles suck - I already know that myself ;P).

Picture will be taken to AnthroCon.
Done with markers & colored pencils.

Cute idea. There's nothing wrong with the candles, btw...The 'suck' effect on them sorta makes it look like the room might be foggy

That's pretty much THE traditional approach to candles. You did as well as can be expected while utilizing a time-tested technique. Good job, imo.
