yet another example of things i was able to start and complete in the time for commission breaks. i might throw color on this later.

i’ve had this dumb little scene in my head for way to long now, and last night i decided to doodle it up.
Eden’s mouth changes before anything else when he starts going through episodes of blood hunger and transformations. His eyes are another indicator, but those tend to change when he’s under stress. Gem is pretty good at catching him hiding it, since when it’s happening he’ll look extra nervous and be especially quit through conversations. Eden usually tries to hide any signs of transformation so that Gem doesn’t have to worry about it, but she almost always spots when he’s trying to hide his eldritch tongue.

since Eden is pretty much a vampire creature, his tongue is specialized in both cutting through flesh and sucking blood in. the vents act like a type of gill, pulling blood into him so that there isn’t much waste when he’s eating someone alive.

i realize lineart becomes much easier when you don’t have preconceived rules for how it should look. this really didn’t take a whole lot of time and i really like how it came out. i’ve wanted to do some interactions drawings of these two before, so it’s nice to actually sit down and do a little comic page like this i need more excuses to draw Eden’s dumb leech tongue.
