yes she can but not by relying on her wings along as she is too dense and they are too small.
now if i were to think of myself as Mar i limit his growth as a character somethings that he as a character Should do, i suddenly would not have him do because he is 'me'.
also there is the separation of reality and fantasy. lets say some one says to me that Mar is a sexist bully who thinks of nothing but himself. if i AM Mar then i become offended, if i am NOT Mar then i can easily laugh it off or think "hmmm did i mess up my story telling"
