Well, it wasn't much of a surprise at this point, was it? Swollen from the flames, the little flareon's belly gets bigger and tighter until... pop. It looks like the tape finally gave out, too, but I suppose that it's a bit too late for that. Oh well. They did get pretty big, didn't they?
Ah, my first illustration of popping. I think that it turned out well enough. I wasn't really sure what to do in terms of making the fire 'fly outwards' as it would when the flareon burst, so I just kind of left it alone, especially with it being fire as opposed to some kind of fluid (e.g. air or water). It's been a while since I screwed around with transparency like I did here (the last time being in "Trapped and Taut," which is kinda old at this point).
Well, I'm quite fond of popping. To me, inflation without popping is little other than a tease, all sorts of build-up without a climax. I don't actually have any stance on the whole "reforming after popping" thing - I simply don't think about what happens after popping. So long as I see somebody burst, I'm satisfied, and death isn't exactly something that I have a thing for, despite my sadistic tastes in inflation that drive me to include all sorts of straining and general signs of the character being inflated being in some sort of discomfort. I do usually prefer that it be cartoon-y without any sort of blood, and I will stick to drawing that sort of popping as such, but I'll be honest and say that I don't mind it much as long as it's on the mild side as opposed to gore and organs everywhere. Bluh, now I have all sorts of mental imagery going on my head (sorry for any unpleasant thoughts I ended up giving you, too).
Anyhow, having not done any sort of pop before, I do know that I can do much better. As always, any sort of advice is greatly appreciated.

I like to say that I'm open to suggestions, but I feel kind of bad saying that when I don't know if it'll take days or weeks to get to something somebody's asked about. I have a big backlog at the moment, but I actually have a few gaps worked into it so that I don't get tired out, and a single pokémon inflation image (rather than a series) would be great for taking up that slot, as they're a lot quicker and easier than the anthro stuff I draw (especially since anthro usually involves multiple characters closely intertwined doing less-than-innocent things, which means having to put a lot of time into anatomy).
That having been said, what did you have in mind? I haven't actually been thinking of any pokémon I've been wanting to inflate as of late (aside from the zoroark series I'm working on at the moment, I suppose, although I do have a few ideas written down as to how a pokémon could be inflated). I can't promise I'd do it, of course, but I'd love to hear ideas. It's nice to know you like these things, though - I put a lot of time into figuring out how to make these better every time I do them, so knowing that it pays off is comforting.

Don't worry about time, good art is always worth the wait! If I had to pick a Pokemon that would look awesome inflated, I'd have to pick either Houndoom/Mightyena to be inflated by whatever means you'd like :)
If you're ever in need of suggestions, here's some others that popped into my head that would look great (in my opinion, of course):
Vulpix
Ninetails
Arcanine
Absol
Luxray

I do like those ideas, actually :U I've seen inflated houndooms a few times before, but I still like them anyways. I'm mostly thinking about houndoom or absol, but I don't actually have any ideas written down that I can use with absol, so I suppose I'll just go with the first one. It's something vaguely creative, I suppose.
I'm not sure when I'll do it, though - I have something I'm almost done with at the moment (the next part of my zoroark series), but I might draw something else anthro after that instead of this, which would be followed by another part of the zoroark series. I'll either start on it next or after two more submissions, I guess. I think it'll be nice, although it'll just be a single image (it would have more than one frame, though).
