I like to think Gamera could take Godzilla in a fight.
Because while Godzilla has steadily been applied more and more to the laws of physics, Gamera just says "FUCK PHYSICS I'm a jet propelled, backflipping mutant tortoise from Atlantis here to wreck your SHIT"

Oh man this really good drawing, I remember renting 2 Gamera movies 1 at a time at a local video store when I lived in Brooklyn, might be one of the first kaiju monsters I ever lay my eyes on next to Godzilla and I didn't even know it's from Japan. Best childhood moment of my life.

All these kaiju related images as of late have been quite the highlight. Wonder if we get to see a King Ghidorah?

My favorite Gamera flick as a kid was the one with Zigra. I think that was also the last of the classic Gameras too.

The three Gamera films from the 90s were absolutely stellar however. Some of the best in the genre, actually. Quite a turn around from the goofy MST3k fodder (that I still can't help but love).

Wow, this certainly takes me back. He's not Godzilla of course, but then no one is. For me, Gamera was always the "Power Rangers" of the Godzilla-verse. A bit cheesy, but still fun to watch. x3
