It wasn't until they were well past the upper atmospheres that they started to stop their growth. It was mainly due to them starting to float up and off of the planets surface, realizing on how huge they have gotten. Their little contest ended up giving them tunnel vision on each other, determined to outgrow the other at the cost of them being aware on how big they were getting. The lucario and blaziken looked down at the planet as they slowly floated away, the vacuum and lack of air pressure of space making them continue to grow albeit at a very slow rate. Even though they breathed oxygen, their bodies allowed them to breathe even in space should they have reached the sizes they're currently at.
Luca looked over to Huo, a small scowl on his face as he folded his arms. “Great…now I want to get back to my normal size…” he stated in an annoyed tone, knowing that this wasn't the only time he had reached around this size due to the 'contests'.
“Hey, don't look at me.” Huo replied, reclining in his spot and rested a hand-talon on his chest, the other behind his head. “You were that determined to outgrow me, and I was simply trying to stay larger than you.”
“Well you shouldn't have tried to issue that challenge once you had your fun!”
“And whose fault was it that let me grow in the first place?”
Luca didn't answer after that one, simply 'hmph'ing and looked away in annoyance. The silence persisted for a few minutes between the two, Luca soon glancing over.
“I guess we can call this a draw?” he asked the blaziken.
A nod was Huo's answer, both agreeing that this contest was indeed a draw.
