Thank you all for the great ideas for names! there were so many i loved! but i have now chosen a name. I am naming him after a dear friend that passed away last year, Tim McCormick. I first met him years ago as Cyrus the Deer. He was a close friend n i loved him very much. I still do...I know it may be silly, but since i am not having any children, this is the best i can do. This bird is my child. He's not even home yet n i love him so much.. but in honor of Tim, I am naming him Cyrus. I'll have just a little bit of him with me as Cyrus grown up in my arms.
I love n miss you Tim. I will meet you over the rainbow <3

Omigawd! Such a darling bird. Their sonorous, ear-scrambling screeches will always be a part of me. I say that because we once had a sun conure of our own. And then, in the fall of 2006, I had just come home from the dentist, my sister opened the door and Micah, our sun conure, came flying straight at her vivid red head. She ducked and Micah ended up flying out of the house and into the sky. I never saw him again and his fate remains unknowable.
Maybe I should buy a sun conure of my own someday.
