Gregorans, while a spacefaring race, do not belong to the Galactic Alliance. They are still on good terms with the Alliance and trade openly with the other species.

However, Gregorans as a species see the other species as being "dangerous", so only specially trained Gregorans will interact with offworlders. They cannot make the vocal sounds to speak the languages of the other species, so they must rely on mechanical devices to translate for them. Other species see Gregorans as being kind, helpful and courteous, but in reality Gregorans are more or less "hive-minded" and most have little interest beyond the good of their species and homeworld.

Gregorans always consider what is best for their species as a whole instead of the needs of an individual. Most of them suppress their emotions and remain reserved even in times of great emotion.
