While I was browsing FA today I came across a picture which looked odd to me. At first glance it looked like a jumbled mess, however in that instant I knew exactly how I wanted to design the gravity elemental within my story world of Ephalon. ironic that in my dazed moment I saw this creature in my mind. Turned out I literally wasn't seeing the entire picture ;)

What we have here is the creature known as Impetus Anguis - force serpent. He originates from the early years of the Ephalon world. During the time that demons and dragons procreated together. One of those unions spawned this charming fellow. At first no one minded him. He looked stranger than most, especially the orbs he had, since they were fused into his body. However, when the very space around him began to distort and come apart even the Demons became fearful. They banished him, chasing him out of town.

After a long search Impetus finally found a place he could call his new home. The caverns around 'the hole'. A massively large opening in the earth itself, seemingly with no bottom. It is revered as the place where all life on this world came from.

Impetus would hone his skills growing stronger and stronger over the years. Though his lack of any kind of interaction with the outside world and his original exile had left him spiteful towards others. He would kill first and ask no questions later.

Impetus was one of the very few creatures on the world of Ephalon able to manipulate gravity. The orbs he wields are what he uses to shift space around him or around specific targets. He can also repulse objects by force by reversing the gravity of anything flung at him.

With his supreme control of the gravity element. It is no wonder that he inherited the title of element master, making him one of the nine elemental guardians.
