Concept art, because I can't be trusted to draw my own characters >//<
I'm very conflicted about this picture, because it came out better than I thought it would, but it's also pretty terrible so I don't know whether to feel proud or ashamed. Lots of mistakes on this one. A few things I did that I didn't think I could pull off, but still a lot of mistakes. I've never been very good at drawing feral dogs, and that clearly hasn't changed.
Sooo, anyway, this is my new sparkledog character, Fracky. Her tongue, inside her mouth and ears, and other insidey-fllesh is blue. Her nose and paw pads are white, and glow in the dark. I meant to draw earbuds, but I forgot.

A friend of mine told me that the angst is a normal and expected part of the artistic process. On the one hand, I feel like I'm finally drawing things for real now. On the other hand, I have this feeling of dread knowing I'll never be truly happy with anything I draw ever again. Which I guess is a good thing, because if I get too pleased with myself, then I won't improve...
