These little BMW's used to roam KC streets in such numbers you couldn't take a drive from 1995 to 2002 without seeing at least one every trip. The later model Z's you don't see that often around here.

Taken at the first 2014 Fast Fridays on Overland Park, Kansas.

I hate to say it, but this was never one of BMW's finest. Especially the M version. It wasn't very pretty as a hatchback/coupe thingy, but the roadster wasn't too bad if it was the right color. I would still take the newer Z4 over this poor ol' chap first though...

So I have heard. Having never driven one, or been inside of one, I myself cannot say this. But I will say that I wish that BMW had made the Z8 into a production car. I would have loved to see them roaming around.

the 1.9 liter version was, but the 6 cyl versions were more than adequate. The one pictured here happens to be an M Roadster, which either came with the S52 or S54 engine. If it's the S54, this thing has just shy of 350 horsepower in such a small car, not bad at all!

Not just a Z3, this appears to be an M Roadster! An entirely different beast :3
