Chrys Bourgeois - FBA Reporter/Journalist/Hyena
Finally a face to the name that has existed since at least 2010 (maybe earlier). Chrys Bourgeois, writer/editor of Furry Hoops Universe (formerly Furry Beat) and longtime FBA beat reporter/analyst (and a mix of NBA personalities Chris Broussard and Steven A. Smith).
An old-school basketball purist in its truest sense, this hyena is not one to hide his true feelings or opinions about things (like the 2014 FBA Dunk Contest), which sometimes gets him in hot water and the scorn of fans and players alike. Yet somehow, his straightforward approach to the game and pull-no-punches approach can be invigorating and refreshing in a sea of sugar-coated FBA articles that dodge real issues or controversial opinions. Bourgeois is a big fan of basketball tradition and "keeping it real".
Also, he is apparently a "culinary enthusiast", as T. Matt Latrans discovered on an episode of FBA Courtside Live. Yes, a hyena. Those animals that eat whatever dead thing it comes across. Culinary enthusiast. I'm not sure what it means either.

I love him! Hyenas are great for that IMO - saying how they feel regardless of if it offends someone. They always seem abrasive in the most honest and appealing ways, and you captured that essence beautifully in the character's design and charismatic approach to reporting.
That said, I know nothing about basketball and therefore cannot comment on anything he'd actually like to report. XD

Thanks a lot! It was interesting, I didn't know what species he was for a long time (when he was just a name used to write articles). So I just left it open-ended for a while and eventually I just decided "You know what... hyena. He's a hyena." XD
