- The Spell Master: Nathan's Theme -
Done as part of a trade with

This is a character theme for Nathan, a wizard. It was done as a gift for his birthday!
It was to have a magical but also Native American feel to it. So I started off using just bell and flute, then create a long crescendo into the main melody line. I wanted to create an intense, near action like scene of him casting spells :3 To finish I tone everything down to just piano and strings, then let the bells and flute finish it in a similar way they to how they started it.
Thanks to everyone that takes a listen!

This theme is absolutely awesome! I love how epic it is, and the way it sends pictures into your head. That said, i'd like to make a few comments as if coming from a movie director. This music inspires me to animate!
I love the transfer at 2 minutes from evil and drama to action and resolution, the fact that you seem to add the slightest dash of industrial beat in that tiny transfer sparks a feel of innovative solution portrayed on a character's part. It'd probably be best if that transfer was lengthened a couple seconds to allow an animator or an editor more time to display such an action on screen.
the entire song itself seem to follow a very successful formula, though you seem to be missing an element. Throughout the piece, drama, intro, introduction of love, action, all that stuff, you seem to have forgotten to include a small piece that portrays a feel of content. You have parts that would fit a scene where a character would find a love interest, and parts that portray drama, or danger happening to said interest, but theres no part that would fit a scene, say, if they were staring into each others eyes, or sharing a dash of dialouge. Something similar to say, the flutes that John Williams is so fond of in his pieces? You know what i mean? Any who, add in the last part with some "content " feeling, and the piece would be Perfect!

Didn't care to much for the coda-
*IN BEFORE SHITSTORM*
But it was quite an impressive piece. You handled counterpoint very professionally as opposed to just throwing together a bunch of melodies in the same key and hoping they fit well. Otherwise, the dynamics, though a bit sporadic, were likewise well done.
And why the Hell are you so much better than me!? D': /wrists

You could do a couple of things. 1) You could purchase a modest "work station" keyboard. Just about all of them should have midi/USB. You can then use the onboard keyboard sounds to record via audio. 2) You purchase a sound library, like something by Native Instruments or Quantum Leap, then use a midi keyboard to utilize them in your chosen sequencer.
Your music evokes such great feeling, I feel like I dunno, waving my hands around trying to cast a spell XD. I'm just dumbfounded to be honest, at your ability to create and weave such passionate tones into music. Makes me sorely wish I had that talent ;_;. Amazing piece Foxamoore!
The melody definitely has that "Native American" feel, but in my opinion you could have handled it a little better to bring out that aspect of the melody.
Overall, nice work :) It definitely had that "magical" feel - not serious and surreal, but almost a bit funny. The "action/intensity" was totally there, though, and congratulate yourself on achieving such a unique effect.
