Wow, this one's been a long time coming, but I am so, so happy to reveal it at last! I just put the finishing touches on this piece tonight of 
Smokepaw and 
Utunu, embroiled in combat with one hideous mercurial corruption monster about the woods. There were just so many ridiculous and/or trying elements in this piece, but I learned a ton throughout the process of tackling those various endeavors and came out on the other side feeling vastly improved. It was really wonderful to play with such a dynamic composition and dramatic/interactive posing! And of course, my commissioners were beyond pleasant to work with the whole time.

Oh man, Utunu is in a tight spot there! I enjoy the implication of how strong he is to hold the beast back, while Smokepaw cleverly leaps on the right opportunity to do some damage. Good idea Smoke, get 'im!
Fantastic work, all your hard hours of work and thinking this over have really paid off. The results of your experimenting are positive too, lots of new stuff going on here that you've learned and applied. I love the spittle and glowy bits, and just CREEPY the beasts eyes are! *shudder*
