Yes it was. Plus I would argue Belial was the hardest boss pre-RoS. That epic appearance, with death breath and that rapid meteor storm.
I mean think about it, The Butcher was a joke, the terrain was a bigger threat then he was, Azmodan was a flop (Post RoS he did get somewhat more challenging) and Diablo kept you moving but never like Belial. Belial has killed me more then any other boss.
Now we get to Post-RoS, with Matheal, and they fix that issue of un-epic boss. HOLY...CRAP. Frost Spots, That blue dodging field, those racing head and his blender slicer. Then he has a second form! Where he drop the blue feild for big red bolts, he spam the frost spots!
My character that I remade after my account was hacked has only died twice: Once to belial when I was half awake, and the second time to Matheal because my grandmother started talking to me.
Back to my point, Clearly one of best bosses, very epic looking. I honestly think they need to add a turbo boss run where you fight each of them in row, but with new powers and extra strong, and reward you with amazing loot.
