Before they were warriors, even before they received the names Beast Killer and Stands Firm, they were just two little mice who knew not yet what war was, who knew not about the malevolent intentions of some outsiders. All they knew was their fun time running around in the desert, playing with sticks, toy bows and arrows, and corn dolls, and the time where they would have to sit down and listen to stories from elders, some long and boring, they would push each other and misbehave when that happened; but other stories engaging and interesting as they looked and leaned forward staring at the elder in fascination.

Eventually, these two innocent little mice would become great warriors and leaders in their tribe, leading them in the defense of their desert homelands, and even leading them through times of great fear and uncertainty. All great things start small.
