Mu’s design was always an awkward one from the start because it is trying to bash together two conflicting goals- a cute and fluffy inviting-looking creature and this serious stealthy military infiltrator- thingy. Kind of a ‘having your cake and eating it’ moment. Still, the previous variation certainly didn’t fulfill the infiltrator look requirement, so I went and fixed that.
Now I need to just think what to do with that tail. A simple ring looks kind of dumb, but what, oh what can one really equip a tail with? Hmm.

I think you've really got the cute and yet military thing down well here! Love the character concept.
I'm not sure if the tail needs anything since it has a nice organic aspect to it, but maybe one idea would be a more broad repeating triangle type cover along the top (so that it can flex and has enough body to it that its not absorbed by the fluff) which is equipped with sensors that can relay to the helmet? Squirrels have such a long a flexible tail it'd make for a great scouting device (look up above things without putting your face in the line of fire, peaking around corners, maybe even act as a decoy).
