If you've never used a tablet before, it's better to start lower. I started on a basic wacom 3x4 with no screen or anything. It's very basic but it's only about $100 and it's bundled with photoshop essentials and painter, so it's a pretty good start. This bad boy runs you $1000 at best, but it's ohhhhh-so-worth it. We had to go without a lot of stuff to afford it.
