For an experiment I think you've done quite well! Water isn't an easy thing to render properly. I like how the submerged parts of the body are blurred and saturated with blue and the ripply effects around the body are definitely a nice touch. Overall I think you did a fantastic job! The cloud reflection is also fantastic. Even from the thumbnail, that looked awesome!

Would love to see the dark, faded silhouette of giant shark underneath him though =3 but that's a personal preference XD

Love the sky reflected in the water, makes me think of my favorite quote from the Myst book series: Did you ever wonder what it would be like, to go swimming among the stars? We could fall into the night and be cradled by the stars, and still return from where we began.
