aikon has finally sent me his wonderful design for that adorable cybernerd, Stefana Eldon from my imaginary series Nekonata. Her winsome smile makes her look innocent, but don't be fooled--she's an expert at destroying evil robots, and she knows how to take care of herself. Thanks again, Aikon!

I can tell you a few things about Stefana, but I don't want to reveal everything in case I ever get off my ass and actually write Nekonata. Here's what I feel I can share right now:
• She's Valera Songas' partner in life, fighting the bad guys, and bed.
• She's socially awkward, but very empathetic and compassionate.
• She's tougher than she looks; she's learned to handle herself in a fight.
• She has the ability to control (or destroy) machines. How? That's a long story...

I really like her outfit. I have to mention that because when I first got the impression that she was the intellect of the duo I kinda feared she'd end up awkwardly frumpy or something. But no, she just dresses very functionally. I like it. The smile makes her even more approachable. How I'd love to see her in color, too.

Well, she kind of is, but she can kick ass if she has to, and Valera is no dummy. Did you ever watch Leverage, the TV show about a group of heroic con artists? Each team member has his/her own specialty, but they can do each others' jobs when necessary. That's what it's like with Valera, Stefana and their friends.

Indeed! Aikon always gives his characters great facial expressions.

I'm sure it'll happen eventually. Aikon is always busy with other drawings (as well as real life), but he'll color the pic when he can.
