The explanation...
Long story short, an awesome friend of mine got me tickets to the Steampunk World Fair in NJ, starting at the end of next week. Hotel and all is taken care of...but I'm on the hook for the gas to get me there and back, along with food and stuff for the days that I'm there.
SO, while I'm also making progress on the commissions that I have queued up, I'm not going to be able to bring enough of those to completion before the end of next week to make a ding in what I need for gas. Was watching the trailer for the new How to Train Your Dragon trailer the other day and got the itch to draw me some dragons. So, in between working on commissions, I've been tinkering with some dragon designs. Thought I might try offering up some of what I came up with in exchange for gas money.
The part you need to know!
Each of these adopts is $10. For that, I will send you a full size/high resolution version of the dragon design you choose.
The twist is that for an additional $15, we can work some magic on the hatchling you choose and see what they would look like as an adult. As with most critters when they're young, these babies don't show much sexual dimorphism. You'll be able to pick the gender of your chosen adopt, along with making some suggestions over what kind of life they would lead [for example, did they have it rough...do they have some scars? ...do they grow up to be fat? etc]. You'll also be welcome to request a different color scheme for your chosen dragon, should you so desire.
If you're interested, please comment here in regards to what # you would like to take. Wait for me to reply back to you before sending payment though. Normally I like to wait until the work is completed before accepting payment...but again, I really need the money to make this trip happen by the end of next week. I'll offer 3 different adult versions of each adopt, in the hopes that we get to see some different genders for each. ^(._.)^

We can do $25 on Sunday, or you can wait to pay till the adult version is ready. Speaking of which, you're welcome to take some time to make your decisions, but if you'd like to choose the gender of the dragon [along with any color changes, scars, lifestyle choices, etc.] just let me know!

Do you an approximate time it'll be done? If so, and this is because I don't like rushing artists. I love to wait fro an artist's best product, even if the anticipation kills me.
But anyways, depending on how long it takes, if you wish for me wait until the final piece is done, I can just pay once I get my next full paycheck, this way I don't have to go through transferring money or linking my second bank account to PayPal just to pay you.
This should be August 1st, which will give you PLENTY of time to take on this little girl. :3

Sex: Female
Color changes: As she gets older, perhaps some orange starts to blossom around her nose, and feet, front and back, and start to fade into her white scales more and more as she gets older? And her gold scales start turning a rustic yellow and red in some areas to show her age. :)
Looks: No scars. Perhaps a longer, slender body. And maybe some fur tuft that grows along the very outer edges of her ears and backs of her feet...
Lifestyle: She's very curious about things but is already very knowledgeable. Also, she has this thing for butterflies. Adores chasing and eating them. x'D
