Mechanical Bat - Head Sculpt
After months and months of not getting to this assignment, I'm finally making confident strides in completing my mechanical bat sculpture for my ZBrush For Production course. I am very new to hard surfacing in ZBrush, and have had a lot of false starts and scrapped ideas. This guy, however, shows a lot of promise.
This bat will be modeled after a Flying Fox (Pteropus spp.) - you gotta love their physics-defying flight capabilities and the very fact that the stereotypical bat sensory monopolization is turned head over heels, with their small ears and large eyes! I really look forward to finish up the body, and tackle those wings somehow.
Media: ZBrush 4r6
Time: ~7 hours
